Warbirds Over Wanaka

Warbirds Over Wanaka is on 29 – 31 March 2024 and is a three day aviation event coinciding with Easter. See Warbirds, including the Spitfire, Kittyhawk, Mustang, Avro Anson, Yak52, Corsair, DC3, Catalina and more. You will also witness modern jets, sport aircraft and helicopter displays. On the ground wander through displays including military vehicles, vintage trucks and aviation trade stands.

If your mind has wandered off after reading aircraft jargon, don’t worry as there is plenty of other entertainment to keep you or your partner entertained while potentially you or your better half gets lost within aviation history. Enjoy speciality food stalls, wine tents and market stalls selling jewellery, clothing, sunglasses, hats, beauty products and more.

Wanaka

Wanaka itself is a spectacular township which overlooks Lake Wanaka. You will wonder where your fours days went as there is so much on offer. For example, you will find stunning walking and mountain bike tracks, boutique shops, waterfront cafes and eateries, Rippon Vineyard and Tasting Room, scenic golf courses, Puzzling World, and the Toy and Transport Museum. The list goes on.
